The climate of the Margaret River region is maritime influenced and is classified as Mediterranean, with cool wet winters and hot dry summers. Treeton Estate experiences its hottest weather in February with March being the driest. April and May provide the first significant rains with effective rainfall in some years continuing up until late December. This climate is ideal in producing high quality dry table wines. The growing season extends from October to April with harvesting occurring from February/March for the whites and March/April for the reds.

The soil type at Treeton Estate is forest gravel loam, which is prominent throughout the Margaret River region. The ground at Treeton Estate promotes deep root growth and has high soil temperatures, that stimulate vine vigor and fruit quality.

Treeton has a secured water supply of high quality and operates a gravity fed irrigation system. Skimmed water from the trench dam is pumped to a holding tank at the highest point on the property. Water is then delivered to each block (vineyard) by gravity. Irrigation of young vines begins between September and December.
